Ammo Bin System The ammo bin lets you break down physical ammunition and magazines into a stowed pool of loose rounds that live on your character sheet. Instead of dragging dozens of partial magazines and loose shells around, you can convert them into a clean, numeric bin and pull from it later as needed. What gets stowed? - Loose rounds and shells recognized as ammunition - Magazines that still have rounds in them - Supported calibers are those defined in the ammo tables (9mm, .45, 12ga, 5.56mm, 7.62mm, etc.) - Empty magazines are ignored (no rounds to stow) When you stow a magazine, it is broken down and the current rounds inside it are moved into your bin. The physical magazine is discarded. When you stow a single shell, that shell becomes one loose round in the bin. Commands STOW Convert carried ammo into bin rounds. Syntax: stow <object> stow all stow <caliber> Examples: stow mag – break down a visible magazine in inventory stow shell – break down a visible shell/round stow all – stow all mags and loose rounds you’re carrying stow 9mm – stow only your 9mm ammo and magazines stow 12ga – stow only your 12 gauge shells Notes: - Partial magazines are fully supported: if a mag holds 17/30 rounds, those 17 rounds go into the bin and the mag is discarded. - Only items recognized as ammunition or gun magazines can be stowed. AMMORETRIEVE Withdraw ammo or magazines from your bin back into inventory. Syntax: ammoretrieve <caliber> - If the caliber has a magazine defined, you receive one magazine. - If not, you receive one loose round. ammoretrieve <caliber> mag - Create one magazine of that caliber (if defined) and load it from your stowed rounds. ammoretrieve <caliber> <count> - Withdraw that many loose rounds from your bin. ammoretrieve mag <caliber> - Same as above: one magazine of that caliber. ammoretrieve round <caliber> - Withdraw a single loose round of that caliber. ammoretrieve round <count> <caliber> - Withdraw N loose rounds of that caliber. Examples: ammoretrieve 9mm – prefer a 9mm mag if defined ammoretrieve 9mm mag – force a 9mm magazine ammoretrieve 12ga round – one 12 gauge shell ammoretrieve round 20 5.56 – 20 rounds of 5.56mm If there are not enough rounds of that caliber in the bin, the command will fail politely and leave your bin unchanged. AMMO Show the contents of your ammo bin. Syntax: ammo This prints a colored panel listing each caliber you have stowed and the number of loose rounds recorded, plus a total count at the bottom. Auto-Reload (overview) Some firearms may attempt to reload automatically during combat. They will first look for suitable magazines in your inventory. If none are available, they may draw directly from your stowed ammo bin to top off the weapon, shell by shell or in bulk, depending on the gun. This behavior is weapon- and code-dependent, but the important point is: keeping your bin stocked means you are less likely to “go dry” in extended fights, even when your belt pouches have been cleaned up.
