LEAD-LAYER

reference

Also known as: LEADLAYER

OCCULTIST Class - [OCC] Chant - Level 30 You speak an old hex and draw thin layers of unseen lead into orbit around the faithful. The ward settles like weight without burden, turning blows, softening impact, and dulling hostile sorcery before it can bite cleanly. Lead Layer is a protective chant for Occultists who keep their circle alive through hard pressure. It can be laid on yourself, set upon one ally, or spread across your whole group in the room. The layers do not stack. They refresh and settle anew. <Syntax> leadlayer <Syntax> leadlayer <ally> <Syntax> leadlayer group <Requires> Occultist <Cost> Devotion 2, plus 1 more for each additional ally when used on the group <Target> Self, one grouped ally in the room, or your group <Effects> Improves armor, damage reduction, dodge, and arcane dampening for the duration. <Limits> May only be used on yourself or your own circle. <Limits> Recasting refreshes the ward instead of stacking it. <Notes> Best used before a heavy exchange, before room damage, or when your group is about to take focused pressure. <Notes> Group use is efficient protection, but costs more devotion as more allies are covered.
