referenceScrySyntax: Scry <keyword> <inscription> (this is not a sling spell)
Cost: 100,000 credits and one Looking Glass required
Info: Voidstriker Level 50 skill
Description:
The Scry command is a powerful Voidstriker spell that allows you to search the world
for an item bearing a specific inscription. Only items that have been
inscribed using magical means can be found through this spell.
To cast the spell, you must possess a Looking Glass — an arcane relic used to peer
into the swirling currents of the void. Upon casting, the Looking Glass is shattered
and consumed in the process, revealing the location of the item you seek... if it exists.
Usage:
Example:
> Scry helmet Dragomir
This will search for any object with the keyword "helmet" and the exact
inscription "Dragomir".
Mechanics:
- Only objects that pass the magical inscription check may be located.
- You must be carrying (not wearing or wielding) a Looking Glass (vnum 23717).
- The spell will search the world and reveal the object's location in one of the following forms:
- "A bronze helmet inscribed with 'Dragomir' lies in Tek Angeles."
- "A bronze helmet inscribed with 'Dragomir' is worn by a merchant."
- "A bronze helmet inscribed with 'Dragomir' is carried by a ranger."
- "A bronze helmet inscribed with 'Dragomir' is stored in a backpack."Additional Notes:
This spell is primarily used by Voidstrikers and other seekers of lost knowledge.
Its power is not to be taken lightly — nor is its cost. Use it when the need is dire,
and when the memory of the inscription is exact.
