Some classes are better at shooting than others. But any idiot can wield a gun. Usage: shoot <target> [burst|both] Not all guns can shoot burst. Shooting 'both' is generally for shotguns. Shooting uses a somewhat different to-hit mechanic. This is because when you hit your target, there is no damage mitigation due to ac/sanct/entrench etc. Expect to miss more with guns than normal weapons. But when you hit, it hurts. Big advantages to the shooter: Target sleeping or stunned You have pirate, ranger, or headhunter training You have netted, barbed, or otherwise paralized your target Small advantages to the shooter: Your target is Kaiju Having a higher dex than your target Having a high hitroll. Higher the better Big advantages to the target: Shooter being blind The person shooting at you is in melee with you Shooter is not pirate, headhunter, ranger, or to a lesser extent an assassin Small advantages to the target: Having a good dodgeroll Being blurred or invisible Having high AC.
